5-8. 雞隻理想的住所─雞隻喜歡有自己的生活環境，以便能有休息、產蛋、扒地、採食與飲水及做沙浴等各別活動空間。在休息、產蛋與做沙浴時，牠需有安靜的空間才不會被其他雞隻干擾。一個健康自然的生活環境也包括適宜的溫度，以及適量的光線、空氣、食物和水。
Ideal home─The chicken prefers her living environment to be divided up so that there is a separate area for each activity: resting, laying eggs, scratching, eating and drinking, dust bathing. For resting, laying eggs and dust baths she needs quiet places where she won’t be disturbed by other chickens coming and going. A healthy living environment naturally also includes the right temperature and the right amount of light, air, food and water.
